ACORN FABRICS QUALITY SHIRTING FABRIC

In 1920, to meet the demand for quality shirting fabric, a Lancashire
cotton mill started weaving and finishing 100% two fold cotton,
primarily for gentlemen's bespoke shirts. Three generations later our
traditional family business is still thriving by supplying the same,
high quality fabrics to customers around the world.

Only the finest natural fibres and the latest spinning technology
are combined to produce the high quality of yarn used in our
shirtings. State-of-the-art looms ensure our fabrics comply with
the highest standards of quality, lustre, wearability and durability.
Craftsmanship in natural material is surely the most highly prized
combination in the modern world and it is this combination which
typifies all Acorn products. From classical English cottons, in an
exquisite range of colours and designs, to the luxurious feel of
West Indian Sea Island cotton, by common consent the finest in
the world, we endeavour to accommodate all tastes and fashions.

At this level of excellence there will always be an expanding
market for the highest quality and indeed, Acorn itself, with it's
rapid and continuous growth from relatively small beginnings in
the Yorkshire market town of Skipton, is a testament both to the
virtues that the company represents and to the certainty that the
dsicerning will always demand perfection.

Based in the traditional heartland of Britain's textile industry, Acorn
Fabrics is bringing more than a touch of dynamism back to this
historic area of Lancashire, with its vistas of Victorian mills and
rugged scenery. In fact the Chatburn family, proprietors of Acorn,
can point to a tradition in textiles dating back more than one
hundred years and spanning four generations.

In 1985 Acorn moved
to modern,
