Checked
If winter fashion is high on your list of priorities, a checked shirt is a must-have addition to your wardrobe. Perfect for autumn and winter, the checked pattern is one of those that never goes out of fashion and is ideal for both work and play.

Brushed cotton

Twill
Twill shirting is perfect for winter and available in many varieties – from herringbone and denim to houndstooth and cavalry. Its high yarn count gives it a more expensive look than other types of shirting and also ensures it’s that little bit warmer for winter.
How you wear your twill shirt is entirely dependent on the type of fabric you choose. Formal twill shirting materials look great under a jacket and blazer and paired with dark chinos. If you pick one of our casual twill materials, like our Fife 25 Green Check Fabric, just pair with some dark jeans.

Denim
While denim is technically a twill fabric, we thought it deserved its own space in our top five. Denim is one of those materials that’s a must winter. It’s hard-wearing, durable and looks good too – as well as being highly versatile.
