We have a tradition of supporting students over the years and we are proud that many have gone on to have successful careers in the fashion industry. It’s always a pleasure working with fashion students as they are passionate about textiles and can really appreciate the quality Acorn has to offer. Also the vision these students have to make contemporary pieces out of our traditional fabrics never fails to surprise us . To help support these fashion students we supply fabric swatches free of charge as we understand images are no substitute to actually feeling the quality of the fabric. On every product page there is a button to ‘Request a fabric sample’, once you click this button a swatch of this fabric will be added to your basket. There is no charge for the sample, just a charge for the postage. We ask that you don’t order more than 20 samples at a time. If you need more than this you can either place a second sample request or purchase a range card.
We also have no minimum order quantity so you can order exactly what you need, as cost is often a big concern for students and a lot of fabric suppliers alienate students with high minimums.
We can also offer 10% discount to current students. To qualify for this discount you will need to send a photo or scan of your latest student ID or NUS card. Please send this to a member of our sales team by e-mail.
Our Catalogue
Our range card includes a small cutting of everything in the collection and these samples are displayed in a waterfall format. The Card is A4 size and very lightweight so it is ideal for visiting customers as well as displaying in a shop or workroom. At the back of the range card is a feeler swatch which includes a larger example of the different qualities in the collection so you can get a better idea of the quality and feel.
