The Hampton collection uses single yarns which makes it slightly lighter than its 2ply equivalent. This versatile range consists of a selection of prints, classic tartans, bold stripes and some Madras checks. This fabric is ideal for casual checks with its equal square construction (same amount of yarns in the warp as the weft) which gives a strong and vibrant check. Madras is a lightweight cotton fabric with typically patterned texture and plaid design. This cloth also was identified by the colloquial name, “Madrasi checks.”
Shipping costs depend on weight so you can get an accurate shipping quote at the basket page once you have made your selection. As soon as your order is confirmed and we’ve received your payment your order will be processed immediately and shipped. UK shipments take approximately 3-4 days but if your order is urgent please e-mail our sales team. If you are unlikely to be in you can put down a secure location for us to leave the parcel, this can be inputted in the ‘comments’ section at the check out stage. International shipments are normally sent by courier however in some regions we offer a International recorded mail. International shipments by courier will take 5-6 days while shipments sent by International recorded mail will take 10-15 days. If you have a specific delivery requirement please place your order by e-mail e.g. arrange your own shipping.
On European orders you will now be charged Tax and handling fees on receipt of your parcel.
Orders going to the USA will now incur 10% duties and handling fees payable on receipt of the goods.

Acorn Fabrics is one of the only shirting mills that engages with and sells directly to end customers. Aside from this, the quality of their fabrics is on par with the likes of Thomas Mason and other big players in the market. Their collection has some uniquely interesting colours and patterns such as a red striped heavy Oxford (my shirtmaker in Naples couldn't find a similar fabric from any other mill) or the cotton-linen Aruba denim. Having browsed through shirting swatches from many other mills, I also think that Acorn has the best collection of Tattersall shirtings anywhere. I've taken several of Acorn's fabrics to Naples with me and had them made into beautiful shirts.
My Acorn fabrics arrived in Sydney today - including the Malham 280 royal. The staff at Acorn are professional and generous, and head an extraordinary company with excellent quality cloth.
